The FLY roof rack cross braces have been developed with a modern and aesthetic design approach and are a vehicle-specific roof rack system for vehicles with a distance between roof rails and vehicle roof (raised rail). They are designed to provide a balanced, stable and durable load capacity. The aluminium struts of the FLY model are positioned close to the vehicle and thus offer an aesthetic look as well as a balanced construction. However, due to this design approach, the product is not compatible with vehicles with sunroofs. This product cannot be used on vehicles without roof rails. Other ACE series models are available for vehicles without roof rails. FLY adapts to the position and angle of the roof rails on the vehicle and helps to evenly distribute the load at the mounting points. This structure supports driving stability and reduces the effects of road-related vibrations. The highly corrosion-resistant aluminium housing and UV-resistant PA6 GF30 connection components have been selected for reliable and long-term use in different climate conditions. Elastomer seals on the surface of the struts form an intermediate layer between load and strut, reducing sudden load movements and minimizing unwanted noise caused by friction. The aluminium struts feature a channel structure compatible with T-bolt fasteners. Maximum compatible T bolt dimensions: 20mm channel width, 4mm channel height and M8 screw. In addition, aluminium struts with 75 mm width and 22 mm height are compatible with U-type mounting screws. When using U-type fixings, it is recommended to check accessory compatibility. The aluminium struts can support loads of up to 75 kg while driving. In standing operation, the following maximum values are recommended: 150 kg with 2 struts, 225 kg with 3 struts and 300 kg with 4 struts. On some vehicles, the roof dimensions taper from front to back. In this case, the longer strut should be mounted at the front and the shorter strut at the back. On some vehicles, front and rear dimensions are the same.
